Tanzina Tarannum

Tanzina Tarannum received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Bangladesh health professions Institute (BHPI) in 2013 and her Masters of Public Health from the North South University (NSU) in 2018.

She has several months of working experience at National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and get training from Anima Das Nupur (OT) at Dreams Angel, Mirpur. She attended on the Inter-professional workshop on Disability, Maternal and Child Health in 2012.

She had presented her article on OT role in writing skill at the seminar of World Occupational Therapy Day at CRP in 2013 and also presented her article on OT role in play in the National Conference on Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) in 2013. Again she had presented Occupational Therapy role in Autism was in National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) at International Autism Awareness Day in 2014.

She spent the initial part of her career in Center for extraordinary children, Banasree before joining Sunshine learning center, Gulsan in 2024. She love working as a pediatric OT because every child is unique, and every day is a learning experience.

She believes that her excellent communication skills would be an asset to be a team player, able to assume different roles within the team and enjoys working to harness the strengths and diversity within a team. Examples include national conference presentations, mentoring, negotiation, active participation in formal meetings and science-driven report writing. She has also expertise at Microsoft word, Excel and literature review.

She loves drawing, crafting, travelling, playing outdoor games and watching movies. She has a strong desire in contributing to the occupational therapy profession to make an unique identity through strategic and inspirational leadership, teaching, Innovation and evidence based practice specialize in improving a child’s physical development, social and emotional development, cognition, and sensory processing skills to help them more fully function in daily life.
